Lunarium Build Planner
Plan Embroidery slots and Cloak presets for Ave.
Ave’s power in Lunarium comes from three overlapping systems: the skill tree, Embroidery charms, and Cloak equipment presets. Cloaks hold Embroidery slots and act as saveable loadouts you swap at the Temple — change your Cloak preset and you change both appearance and passive combat bonuses.
This build planner page is a static reference aligned with the interactive tool UI (tools.buildPlanner.title, tools.buildPlanner.cloakLabel, tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel, tools.buildPlanner.noteLabel). Use the tables below to sketch builds before spending Boar-grass, ore, and other crafting materials.
Pre-launch data reflects Steam store descriptions, PAX East previews, and demo playtests. Slot counts and charm names will expand after July 29, 2026 — check patch notes for balance changes.
How Cloak presets work
Each Cloak preset is a named loadout combining:
- One Cloak piece (visual + passive cloak effect)
- Multiple Embroidery slots filled with charms
- Optional notes on skill tree synergies
Swap presets at the Temple between exploration and boss attempts. Late-game players maintain separate presets for trash clearing, elite packs, and boss rushes.
Cloak preset reference table
| Cloak Preset | Embroidery Slots | Cloak Passive | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dawnweave Cloak | 3 | Balanced attack and poise | General exploration, first playthrough |
| Starfarer’s Mantle | 4 | Increased Resonance Point gain | Boss fights, Lune synergy builds |
| Ironthread Cloak | 3 | Poise bonus after successful parry | Parry-focused, aggressive melee |
| Voidshroud | 2 | Extended dodge invulnerability frames | Learning patterns, safe progression |
| Temple Linen | 3 | Faster Temple rest recovery | Long expeditions between saves |
Cloaks are crafted and enhanced at Temple facilities using materials from zones like the Forgotten Forest and Ruined Castle. See the world map guide for farming routes.
Embroidery slot reference
Embroideries function like equippable charms — passive bonuses slotted into your active Cloak. Slots unlock as you progress:
| Slot | Typical Unlock | UI Label | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slot 1 | Prologue / demo start | tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel 1 | Always available; pick a core identity charm |
| Slot 2 | Early Temple access | tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel 2 | First meaningful build choice |
| Slot 3 | Forgotten Forest mid-progress | tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel 3 | Enables hybrid offence/defence setups |
| Slot 4 | Ruined Castle / late Act 1 | tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel 4 | Unlocked on Starfarer’s Mantle and similar cloaks |
Empty slots grant no bonus — always fill available slots before leaving the Temple.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What are Embroidery slots in Lunarium?
Embroidery slots are charm sockets on your active **Cloak**. Each filled slot grants a passive combat bonus. Empty slots provide no effect.
What is a Cloak preset?
A **Cloak preset** is a saveable loadout combining one Cloak (with its passive effect) and your chosen Embroidery assignments. Swap presets at the Temple.
How many Embroidery slots can I use?
Slot count depends on your Cloak — from 2 on Voidshroud up to 4 on Starfarer's Mantle in this reference table. More slots unlock through story progress and crafting.
Where do the UI labels come from?
The interactive build planner reads i18n keys: `tools.buildPlanner.cloakLabel`, `tools.buildPlanner.slotLabel`, and `tools.buildPlanner.noteLabel`.
Will this table change after launch?
Yes. We expand charm names and slot unlock timing as players document the full game. Watch [patch notes](/updates/patch-notes/) for balance changes.
Can I respec Embroidery choices?
Preview info suggests swapping charms at the Temple freely, but crafting upgrades may consume materials. Test in the [demo](/updates/demo-info/) before committing rare resources.
